Day-by-Day Itinerary
Nairobi → Sirimon Gate
Drive to Sirimon gate. Trek through montane forest. Camp at Old Moses (3,300m).
Old Moses → Shipton's Camp
Trek across moorland. Spectacular views. Camp at Shipton's (4,200m).
Acclimatisation Day
Short acclimatisation hike to Austrian Hut. Return to Shipton's.
Summit Day
Pre-dawn summit attempt to Point Lenana (4,985m). Watch sunrise over Africa. Descend to Mackinder's.
Descent → Nairobi
Descend Chogoria route. Drive back to Nairobi.
